We are so excited to add this new art class where students will learn the art of soap making, create different soaps to take home to use, sell or give as gifts. Half of our time will be spent on soaps and the other half will be candle making, which is much more complex than we might think. We'll start with hot candle making and then develop new candles using cold press. Students will decide on different designs, shapes, fragrances and colors. All of their creations will be sent home with students at the end of the week. WHEN: This morning STEAM camp (8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.) will be held on July 6-10 and July 20-24, and is for ages 7 and up, Monday through Friday. During the first session, we are also offering a camp just for campers 12+ only. All sessions have a take-home product from their week with us! Cost: $190/ week for a 1/2 day. The afternoon class is Astronomy or Veterinary Medicine. You can sign up for a full-day camp to take both of these camps this week by choosing the "Full Day" camp option for $360 (see Full Day Summer STEAM Camps found HERE). If the cost of this class is a barrier, scholarship funds are available for low-income families. Please contact us for details. Refunds: As we only offer 12 students per camp, we cannot offer a refund once you sign up and pay. Your payment secures your spot, which is completely reserved for you.
