Added Elastane gives the sock fabric stretch, and a light compression band hugs the narrowest part of the arch to hold the sock in place and prevent rubbing and bunching, even over ultra distances. The sock cuff is cut to sit at mid-calf, and the cuff back is ribbed to provide structure and support for your calf and achilles. Terry cloth padding features on the forefoot and heel to cushion high-impact areas, while a reinforced toe box and heel cup protects the spots most prone to wear.
