I first saw Soay sheep grazing on the China Clay land near St Austell. They originally come from the island of Soay (old Norse for 'Island of Sheep') in the St. Kilda Archipelago. Wood Engraving (prepared block from TN Lawrence); each one hand printed on Conqueror laid vellum block printing paper with black linseed oil based relief printing ink, then hand tinted with watercolour. Unframed 18cm x 23cm. Printed image size 7.5cm x 10cm. Edition of 400. I usually print to order, so please allow at least 2 weeks for delivery.
