'Soft Light' embodies the quiet winter seascape. Breathing in icy, wintry air awakens you more than a shot of caffeine while watching a gentle ripple roll in from the distance feel s refreshing to the soul. ‘Soft Light actually had two starts in life, it began looking completely different. An underpainting was established but it didn't feel right so I painted over it to start again. This process of starting over has been described as the tide rushing in over a sandcastle. I really like that. We never really go back to square one. There's a story, lessons, skills even when the slate is wiped blank and in starting over. Do you have hidden sandcastles? Show more
