The Softer Than Steel collection for Desalto is a clear expression of that sensibility. Thin steel, ordinarily associated with rigidity and industrial resolve, is here coaxed into forms that feel almost pliable, their sinuous cutouts suggesting movement and breath. The cutout table is conceived as part of an interlocking family. Its voids are precisely proportioned to allow pieces within the collection to overlap and nest without conflict, creating compositions that read as a single continuous gesture rather than a gathering of separate objects.
