Double Brushed Polyester (DBP) SoftTouch DBP (Double Brushed Polyester) is an amazingly soft stretch knit that can be used for any athletic wear, as well as for dresses, skirts, and knit pants. It is moisture-wicking for comfort. You may wonder why we have so many athletic bases. Truth is, many people don't know about the many options available, and are searching for DBP simply because they know its a great fabric! So we opted to carry it as well, while hoping we may introduce those people to a whole new world of fabrics used by the best brands. Our DBP is extremely high quality, and opaque. Brushed Poly vs. Sanded Poly Double brushed Polyester is brushed on both sides, for a soft, fuzzy feel. Sanded fabrics such as Caress or Breathe Tek have more of a "peached" feel, with a very slight nap. DBP has more tendency to pill over time, especially cheaper versions. Ours is a very high quality and we expect it to perform well. All colours have a matte finish. SoftTouch DBP comes from the same mill through which we source our most popular fabric, Caress. You can mix and match SoftTouch with Caress as it is a similar weight and stretch. Surprisingly Caress is Nylon based, but feels just as soft. You can also mix/match with Breathe Tek, although it is slightly heavier than both SoftTouch or Caress. All 3 fabrics can be used for sports bras, leggings, dresses and more.
