The Sol Scarf Ring is a sculptural .925 sterling silver scarf slide centered on a natural stone, made by hand in our workshop in Taxco, Guerrero, Mexico. It takes the sun — one of the oldest symbols there is, and one Mexico has been drawing for millennia — and reduces it to its essentials: clean rays radiating from a single polished stone. The rays are formed rather than cut. We shape them in media caña — a half-round section drawn to a point, the same technique we use for our Sol earrings and pendant. It gives each ray a rounded, dimensional body instead of a flat profile. The band is open and adjustable, so it holds silk, cotton or a bandana without forcing the fabric, and keeps its sculptural form while it does. Choose your stone: jade, lapis lazuli, malachite, black onyx or pyrite. Each is natural and hand-selected by us, so no two are the same. The band is open and adjustable at 4 mm, so it takes everything from a light silk square to a folded bandana. You set the opening; it holds its shape. Does it match the Sol earrings and pendant? Yes — the Sol Scarf Ring, our Sol earrings and the Sol pendant are all formed the same way, in media caña, so the rays read identically across the three. They were made to be worn together.
