Gargoyles are mythical monstrous creatures portrayed in Gothic architecture. It is believed that their heads and necks would not burn due to being tempered by their own fire breath , so they were carved in stone and put on buildings to scare off evil spirits and protect from fire. These frightening creatures are made with intricate metal work in a pewter finish and come alive at night with flickering solar lights in the eyes and mouth.
