Have a water source but no power for a pump, this solar ir rigation pump is a perfect solution made by Future Pumps and now available in the UK. The Futurepump SF2 is a portable pump designed for irrigating approximately two acres of vegetable plots. It pumps around one litre per second in full sunlight and can be used with 1 1/4 inch hosepipes, sprinkler, tanks or drip irrigation systems. Either hold the hose pipe in boiling water until it is somewhat soft, then place it on the connector. Or use a heat gun or hair dryer to soften the hose pipe from all sides and place it on the connector. If nothing else is available a open fire or stove can also be used, but the changes of unequal heating and therefore leakages after placing the connector are bigger. Show more
