During installation, the circuits you want protected during a grid outage are connected to the output of the Backup Interface, while non-essential circuits remain on the main grid supply side. Do I need a separate energy meter with this unit? No — the BI-NEUNU3P-01 includes an integrated inline energy meter with 1.25% import/export accuracy.
