Absolutely. The bar is built on a base of organic coconut oil, which produces a rich, bubbly lather specifically known for its grease-cutting power. A quick rub of a wet brush or sponge over the bar gives you enough lather to tackle oily pans, baked-on food, and everyday dishes. How long does the bar last compared to a bottle of dishwashing liquid? Because it's a concentrated solid formula with no added water, it lasts significantly longer than a standard bottle of dishwashing liquid. Exact longevity depends on household size and usage, but most customers find it outlasts several bottles of liquid soap. Can I use it to clean more than just dishes? Yes — it works beautifully on sinks and kitchen benches too. The Lemon Ironbark Eucalyptus essential oil has natural cleansing and purifying properties, making it great for a general kitchen clean-up. Does the soap go down the drain safely? Yes. The ingredients are all natural and biodegradable, so they break down safely without the synthetic surfactants and chemical additives found in conventional dishwashing liquids. Will this soap dry out my hands the way regular dishwashing liquid does? No. Unlike conventional dishwashing liquids that often strip the skin's natural oils, Medika Organics dish soap block contains naturally occurring glycerine (a byproduct of the soap-making process) which helps retain moisture in the skin. Many customers notice their hands feel noticeably softer after making the switch.
