Handmade solid gold jewelry is truly special. This pendant is a tiny stunner in solid 14 karat gold with a deep, gorgeous red ruby cabochon of about 0.41 carats. (The ruby comes wi th a certificate; it is heat treated but shows no evidence of other treatments--which means that it's an heirloom-quality stone.) The second I tried this stone against a gold background, I knew I had to set it in gold. It glows. Ruby is the birthstone for July.
