This impressive solid oak sideboard with glazed cupboard and mirror top section would be a much-admired and useful addition to the large lounge, dining room or hallway.The large central mirror is mounted in the top section between two glazed cupboards, each with a single shelf. This section fits onto the generously proportioned sideboard top which then has ample space for a fruit bowl or a vase or fresh flowers along with treasured ornaments and photographs. Below are two deep central drawers with an open space below, and a single-door cupboard on each side. the left-hand cupboard has three tray-style drawers inside, while in the right-hand cupboard there is a six-bottle wine drawer.Our restoration workshop has stripped and cleaned this beautiful piece before applying a matt lacquer finish that enhances the rich colour and grain detail in the wood as well as providing a good level of protection in everyday use. As with all lacquered wood furniture, care is needed when placing hot or sharp items and we always recommend the use of mats and coasters. This piece is largely made of solid oak with good-quality plywood used for drawer and cupboard bases as well as the rear panels.
