If you need a set of scales you need to order 2 pcs or one of the larger 3" pieces to cut in half. The glow is charged with UV light (blacklight or sunlight). Typically the darker the daytime color of the material, the less bright the glow will be. For example the amethyst color will not glow nearly as bright as most of the other colors will glow. The photo with the white background (left) is the color when it is not charged with UV light.
