Restraint is the whole idea: one low horizontal line made of a thick top slab, two calm drawer faces and a single open gap between them. Handcrafted from Natural Solid Wood, the console keeps square corners and no applied trim, lifted on two squared block feet placed well inboard of the ends. Design & Craftsmanship With nothing on the front to interrupt the wood, everything rests on the fit: the seams around both drawers are held tight and even on all four sides, unforgiving work on a face this plain. The top is a substantial slab, its edge eased just enough to soften the geometry without blurring it, and the underside of the open bay is finished to the same standard because it stays in plain view. Sanding goes far enough that the surface feels closed under the hand rather than merely flat, and the tone finish is worked in at a low matte sheen. Placement & Use Living rooms are the obvious fit, but the shallow body also suits a bedroom as a low dresser run beneath a mirror, or an entry hall where the open bay takes baskets. In a home office it settles under a window as a credenza. Care & Customization Dust the top and drawer faces with a soft dry cloth and wipe up spills as they happen. Keep the console indoors, away from harsh sunlight, damp and concentrated heat, and set felt pads under anything heavy or rough-based. Internal layout and the proportion between the drawers and the open bay can be altered before we begin, and each tone finish is a surface colour over the same Natural Solid Wood. Shipping & Assembly Each piece ships disassembled so it can be packed securely and arrive without dents or cracks. Detailed assembly instructions are included, and every joint is cut to fit together precisely. Good to Know Listing includes the TV stand only; the television, framed screen, media player and decorative items shown are not included. Storage is one drawer at either end with a single open compartment between them, and no cabinet doors. Neither drawer carries a pull, so both are opened from the recessed edge beneath the front. The console rests on its block feet on a flat indoor floor and is not designed to be wall-mounted. Each stand is handcrafted, so grain, texture and tone vary from one piece to the next.
