Your child has outgrown the 23" but isn't ready for a full adult 27" frame. You need the in-between size that lets them extend their reach for serves without jumping to adult weigh t. The Shadow 25" (typically ages 8-11, depending on height and development) closes the gap perfectly. Long enough for better reach on serves and approach shots, but still lightweight enough at ~260 grams for a young player to control. The aluminum construction stays durable as techniques get more aggressive. Pre-strung and ready to play. This is the frame where many junior players start hitting with real pace and developing baseline consistency. The extra length rewards improving serve technique.
