Exploring the enigmatic high 7’ to high 8’ range. The Solis is ideal for anyone looking to downsize from a longboard, opening up new lines but without sacrificing trim and flow. We love it both as a single fin or as a twin fin set up if surfed a bit shorter. It rides well in big open faces. Locked in the face of the wave when walking to the nose for heaps of trim, drive and release when stepping back and engaging the hard rail, all diluted in a longer board but still more compact than a longboard. Slight roll vee to panel vee, 60/40 to hard rails. The challenge for this relatively simple design was to find the right balance and blend all the soft transitions to create a giant sweet spot but with a different feedback depending on which part of the board is engaged.
