Like an ocean in the sand. Waves in the Sahara...... This photo was taken in the Erg Chigaga Desert in Morocco. An erg is a large desert that mainly consists of sand dunes. Only ~20% of the Sahara is actually considered an erg, a sand desert. Approximately 70% to 75% is a rock desert, made up of gravel, stones, and rocky plateaus.
