Solstice produces broccoli heads 2 weeks before main season varieties. It can be replanted mid summer for a fall crop. Blue-green tight consistent heads, 3” in diameter are produced high up on the stalk for easy harvest. Solstice broccoli is bred to fill early and late harvest growing slots. Often it is grown both before and after a main season summer broccoli variety. Spring plants will produce small to medium size heads 2 or more weeks ahead of summer varieties, and follow with excellent side-shoot heads. Seeds started in flats late in March produce plants ready for harvest by June 21.
