Decyl myristate, decyl oleate, PEG 23 stearate and glyceryl stearate are skin-conditioning and skin-softening ingredients. Cetyl alcohol and cetearyl alcohol are white, waxy substances made from coconut oil. They are emollients, which means they protect, soften and condition skin. They don’t have the same effect on the skin as ‘regular’ alcohols. Ethylhexylglycerine and phenoxyethanol are preservatives that are used in very low concentrations in some Janesce skincare products.
