Tenth LP by Americana band Son Volt. They are led by Jay Farrar who, as a member of Uncle Tupelo, was credited with blazing a trail for Americana in the 1990s. The name of the LP i s taken from vintage amplifiers of the 1940s and 1950s, so expect swaggering country rock built on a history of amplified music, sing-a-long melodies and plaid shirts. Show more
