Perched on a ridge overlooking the Pacific Ocean at Fort Ross, Hirsch Vineyards embodies the true, old-school style of the Sonoma Coast. Jasmine Hirsch, who manages the estate prac tices biodynamic and organic farming, and ferments using wild, indigenous yeast, with the goal of channeling the land and air of this most extreme part of Sonoma County. Coming from legendary Russian River winemaker Joe Rochioli cuttings planted in 1994 in the Fort Ross-Seaview AVA, this Chardonnay, this wine was aged in French and Austrian oak barrels (27% new), this bright and fresh chardonnay showing green apple, Asian pear, apple blossom, brioche and lemon curd, with mouth-watering acidity and generous minerality. 13.0% ABV Show more
