Harvested primarily from Sonoma's Bedrock and Lazy Dog Vineyards, both of which are practicing roganic, this wild-fermented Cabernet matured for 15 months in oak (10% new). Started in 2007 out of a friends chicken coop by Morgan Twain-Peterson, Bedrock Wine Co has grown to become a flag-bearer for preserving and rehabilitating California's older and historic vineyard sites. A passion for the old leads Bedrock to embrace the vines historically planted long before the Judgement of Paris and the Napa Cab craze of the last 4 decades. They experiment with Mourvèdre, Zinfandel, Carignan, Alicante Bouschet, Semillon and Gewurztraminer—many of which were planted over 100 years ago and have survived two world wars and prohibition. Throughout their entire process however, is a dedication to making wines that are expressive of the California sun and climate without loosing their tension and vibrancy. 14.5% ABV
