Harvested from 4 vineyard site in Sonoma County: Bedrock, Judge, Uboldi and Leveroni Vineyards, all of which are practicing organic, the wine was wild fermented and matured for 6 m onths in stainless steel and new oak. Started in 2007 out of a friends chicken coop by Morgan Twain-Peterson, Bedrock Wine Co has grown to become a flag-bearer for preserving and rehabilitating California's older and historic vineyard sites. A passion for the old leads Bedrock to embrace the vines historically planted long before the Judgement of Paris and the Napa Cab craze of the last 4 decades. They experiment with Mourvèdre, Zinfandel, Carignan, Alicante Bouschet, Semillon and Gewurztraminer—many of which were planted over 100 years ago and have survived two world wars and prohibition.
