About Motcy Designs Lucina Montañez Mota is a talented jewelry designer currently residing in Dallas, Texas and native to Aguascalientes, México. Her designs are made to elevate Mexican culture with a touch of freshness and boldness. She prides herself in creating designs with quality materials so they last for many years to come. Her main technique is fine wire work from which other techniques are derived such as crimping, framing, herringbone, coiling, urban filigree, and hatching, among others. Many of her collections include a nod to her Mexican background by including artisanal-made materials. Lucina considers herself a lifelong student of jewelry design as well as a teacher in her local community.
