The Sony ZV-E10 II is equipped with enhanced features that build upon its content-creation-focused predecessor, boasting a 26MP APS-C sensor for improved performance and high-quality imagery in a compact design tailored for vloggers. This places the ZV-E10 II in line with established models like the FX30 and the a6700. Additionally, it comes with built-in creative shooting modes, a 3-capsule directional microphone, and a 3" articulating LCD touchscreen with vertical orientation support and integrated tally light, making it a versatile vlogging tool. Notable upgrades also include a 759-point phase detection autofocus system, an AI processing unit, and compatibility with larger-capacity NP-FZ100 batteries. Vlogging Features Optimized Camera-Design The rear 3" 1.04m-dot touchscreen LCD features a flip-out design, making it convenient for filming oneself or taking selfies. During recording, a built-in tally lamp surrounds the LCD with a red border. When shooting vertically for platforms like TikTok or Instagram, the LCD screen will adjust to display information vertically. The directional 3-capsule microphone is ideal for forward-directional audio recording in vlogs and interviews, while the dedicated windscreen reduces distortion in outdoor filming. Additionally, both 3.5mm microphone and headphone ports are included for advanced audio recording, along with the Multi Interface Shoe that enhances audio recording capabilities. This shoe supports a digital audio interface, reducing noise during recording and eliminating cable clutter and the need for external power when using compatible shoe-mounted mics. Connectivity and Live Streaming The ZV-E10 II is equipped with a micro-HDMI video output and USB-C data output ports. These ports enable easy video sharing to a computer or compatible mobile device. Additionally, you can live stream to social media platforms using the USB-C data port or integrated 5 GHz WiFi. The camera supports RTMP, RTMPS, and SRT streaming protocols, along with UVC standards that allow you to utilize the camera as a webcam. Specialized Shooting Modes The Product Showcase button simplifies the process of capturing product videos by seamlessly transitioning focus from a person to a product. The Fn (Function) button can be customized to access a quick menu of commonly used functions. When in viewing mode, pressing the Smartphone Transfer (Send to Smartphone) button brings up the screen for transferring images to a smartphone. The C1 button is customizable to a commonly used function for convenient one-touch access. For example, the default setting of Background Defocus enables you to effortlessly enhance the background blur to highlight the main subject instantly. Active Mode electronic image stabilization utilizes a precise gyroscope and sophisticated algorithm to precisely detect and counteract camera shake, ensuring exceptional stabilization without compromising portability, especially during 4K recording. When used with compatible lenses, breathing compensation seamlessly corrects slight changes in angle-of-view as the lens focus shifts, resulting in seamless rack focusing without any distractions. The Slow & Quick mode allows for recording motion sequences with up to 60 fps in 4K and 120 fps in Full HD, enabling stunning results. Additionally, time-lapse sequences can be created in-camera with exposure intervals ranging from 1 to 60 seconds. The camera's electronic shutter enables continuous still shooting at up to 11 fps with full AF/AE tracking. 26MP APS-C Exmor R CMOS Sensor and BIONZ XR Processor The ZV-E10 II is equipped with Sony's cutting-edge sensor technology in an APS-C back-illuminated Exmor R CMOS image sensor boasting around 26.0 megapixels. Its advanced BIONZ XR image processing engine ensures exceptional detail and clarity, supporting a standard ISO range from 100 to 320002. With high-speed readout capabilities, 5.6K oversampling efficiently condenses extensive data into impressive 4K 60p footage (QFHD: 3840 x 2160). Phase Detection & Real-Time Eye AF The most recent BIONZ XR image processing engine and enhanced algorithms result in significantly enhanced AF performance. An extensive array of 759 focal plane phase-detection AF points guarantees consistently smooth, accurate focus. Real-time Eye AF accurately identifies human faces and eyes, as well as animal and bird eyes, ensuring reliable focus. Real-time Tracking ensures that focus remains on the subject even as it moves within the frame. 4K Video Recording UHD 4K video recording supports up to 60p and utilizes full pixel readout with 5.6K oversampling for enhanced detail and reduced moiré and aliasing. Additionally, Full HD 1080p recording is available at frame rates up to 120 fps, with both resolutions using the 600 Mb/s XAVC HS and XAVC S-I formats featuring 4:2:2 sampling. The camera is equipped with S-Cinetone and S-Log 3 color profiles, providing improved grading control and full utilization of the 14-stop dynamic range. Furthermore, users have the option to assign LUTs or utilize the Creative Looks mode to apply preset color effects to their footage during shooting. Larger Battery Capacity The ZV-E10 II is equipped with a high-capacity NP-FZ100 battery, enabling continuous recording of movies for up to 195 minutes on a single charge. It supports quick charging via USB PD (Power Delivery). Additionally, power can be drawn from an external computer during live streaming (USB streaming) through a USB cable. The ZV-E10 II features a slightly larger body design to accommodate the NP-FZ100 battery, yet it maintains a compact form factor for easy portability. With the NP-FZ100 battery, you can now capture approximately 610 shots per charge, marking a 30% increase from the previous model. The camera can also be powered through the USB-C port or with an optional power adapter. Compact, lightweight, and comfortable to hold The ZV-E10 II boasts compact measurements of 67.5 mm (2 3/4 inches) in height, 114.8 mm (4 5/8 inches) in width, and 54.2 mm (2 1/4 inches) in depth, weighing a mere 292 grams (around 10.3 oz). This is a notable feat for a camera powered by a high-capacity NP-FZ100 battery. Furthermore, its handling is made more comfortable with a specially designed and textured grip.
