During the Sophomore Year Planning Session, a counselor will help the student understand what colleges expect from them as high school sophomores, and will help the student create an academic and extracurricular plan for their entire sophomore year, including the summer. Because this session includes academic advisement, it ideally takes place before the student's sophomore-year class schedule is finalized, at some point between spring of freshman year and the end of summer before sophomore year.
