Soudal Trade Strong As Nails is a solvent-based construction adhesive built on SBR synthetic rubber. It grabs fast — hand tight in about 20 minutes — and bonds well on uneven substrates, which is why trades reach for it where drilling isn't practical or where a bond needs to work alongside a mechanical fixing. Where trades use it Bonding stair nosing and anti-slip strips to concrete or tiled treads Fixing corner guards, wall guards and column protectors to masonry, block and steel Securing cable trays, panels and battens on fit-outs and refurbishments Site assembly and renovation work where screws or nails can't be used What it bonds to Concrete, masonry, cement sheet, tiles, timber, MDF, particleboard, plywood, plasterboard, steel, aluminium, glass and polystyrene. No pre-treatment or primer required — substrates only need to be clean, dry and free of dust and grease. What it will not bond to Polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), PTFE / Teflon and bituminous surfaces. Soudal recommends a trial bond on any substrate you haven't used it on before. How to apply it Apply in even beads or dots, always covering the edges and corners. Press both parts together, pull them apart immediately, then leave 10–15 minutes before bonding again and tapping home with a rubber mallet. Support the work while it sets. Clean up with white spirit or acetone.
