Product Code: 1068 The LaMotte® 1068 Sounding Weight is a 2 lb (0.9 kg) cast metal weight designed for use with LaMotte's flushing-style water samplers. Attached to the bottom bridle of the sampler, the weight helps the unit descend rapidly and remain vertical during sampling, minimizing drift caused by currents and ensuring representative water samples are collected at the desired depth. Provides rapid, controlled descent of the water sampler. Helps keep the sampler vertical while lowering through the water column. Reduces drift caused by currents, improving sampling accuracy. Easily attaches and removes using the built-in snap clamp. Rugged construction designed for repeated field use in freshwater and marine environments. Can be used with #1065 Calibrated Line.
