Sourdough bread has been making a huge return lately, but it's not always as simple as TikTok bread influencers make it look. Never fear, we want to teach you some of the tricks we've learned over the years making our own delicious sourdough! Come and learn the lost art of sourdough, the basics of fermentation, and some special tricks for getting the perfect bake, all rolled into a delicious and interactive experience! I will show you how to care for your starter, how we make our (regionally) famous sourdough, and show you some tools and methods to make consistent loaves, simply, in your home kitchen. We will also be sampling delicious fresh baked bread! All attendees will leave with their own starter and some of our tested recipes to try at home. We will also have some home baking sourdough bread supply kits available for sale in our store. You know your friends and family will be so excited to sample your homemade sourdough bread or rolls, just in time for Thanksgiving! The ticket cost for this class is paid per attendee. It will be held at Headlong Farm headquarter: 965 FM3000, Elgin, TX, 78621. Keep in mind that while we will be under the cover of our arena, this will be an outdoor event with possibly cooler temperatures, so remember to dress comfortably!
