Bake your own artisan sourdough from scratch. Perfect for beginners. A live, active sourdough starter from our kitchen to yours. Naturally fermented using only flour and water, thi s is the very same culture we use to bake our weekly sourdough loaves. Each starter is carefully packed, double-bagged, and sent via Express Post to ensure it arrives as fresh and active as possible. When your starter arrives: Your starter is a living culture and will appreciate a feed after its journey. Simply stir through equal parts flour and water (by weight) and leave at room temperature for several hours. Once active and bubbly, it’s ready to bake with or can be stored in the refrigerator until needed. If it seems a little sleepy after travelling, don’t worry ~ a feed or two is usually all it takes to bring it back to life.
