Space Wars is a video game released in 1982 for the Vectrex, an early vector display-based home gaming console. The game was a port of the original 1977 arcade game by Cinematronic s, itself based on the 1962 Spacewar!, one of the first video games. It featured two spaceships, 'the needle' and 'the wedge', engaged in a dogfight while maneuvering in the gravity well of a star.
