The Gotcha rescue kit is a unique solution to a problem faced by all workers at height who use PPE for protection against falls. Most rescue provision has focused on the more extreme activities carried out at height, the Gotcha kit is designed for tradesmen who use common items of fall protection. In the event of a fall their situation if suspended in a harness is just as serious as any other worker and a swift recovery is essential. The Gotcha™ Kit was the first pre-assembled remote rescue kit. Designed for rescuing suspended casualty from fall arrest lanyards, rope safety lines and fall arrest blocks, all possible from a point of safety. OSHA 1926.502(d)20: “The employer shall provide for prompt rescue of employees in the event of a fall or shall assure that employees are able to rescue themselves.” Requires limited training compared to other systems. The kit comes complete with an anchor sling capable of attaching to a wide range of structures and all terminations are sewn for security. Each Kit is tested in a controlled setting before leaving the shop. It is then vacuum packed, keeping it clean and untouched until needed for an assisted rescue. Adaptable for different heights of anchor point, color coded for simplicity and includes an extension pole for remote attachment. Casualties can either be raised or lowered to the nearest point of safety, with casualties initially raised to release their original attachment preventing the need for cutting.
