The Mosquito Emergence and Deployment Map shows the approximate start of mosquito seasons by temperate zones based on climate data sourced from the United States Department of Agriculture. WHERE DO I HANG THE TUBES? Hang the tubes along the perimeter/property line of the area to be protected, each tube no more than 180 feet apart. Hang the tubes at least 80 feet away from areas where people gather, since mosquitoes will gather near them. If you have woods, heavy vegetation, or a water feature that attracts mosquitoes, hang at least 1 tube near or within that area, 80 feet away from people. Place an additional tube near that area if outside of the protected zone. Hang the tubes approximately 6 feet above the ground and no more than 180 feet apart. The ideal place to hang tubes is on a large tree against the trunk on a sturdy branch, or just inside a bush, where they will be shaded and be partially protected from rain. This prevents evaporation and allows some water replenishment from rain. WHY DO I NEED TO HANG SPARTAN MOSQUITO PRO TECH AT LEAST 80FT AWAY?
