Conceived explicitly not as “just another reggae album,” it treats Perry’s voice, persona, and improvisatory presence as a central instrument within a dense, exploratory electronic soundworld, turning his rich, idiosyncratic delivery into the axis around which the record’s shifting textures and rhythms orbit.
