Spatter Blood was developed to answer a need for a non-animal derived blood substitute to be used in the teaching or demonstration of blood spatter or blood pattern reconstruction. Spatter Blood mimics the physical characteristics of fresh blood in terms of color, viscosity, and stickiness. Correlations between fresh human blood and Spatter Blood for droplet size and shape, trigonometric reconstruction of impact angle and drop height determinations are excellent.
