The collection's name is inspired by Specola Padovana, the historic astronomical observatory established in 1767. The light is diffused within hand-beaten and enameled copper parab olas, while the light fixtures gravitate suspended on cylindrical elements made of natural copper. Enameling is a complex technique involving subjecting an object covered with colored glass powders to a high temperature with unpredictable results.
