What does this Tuning Kit do? The function of the Furious Evo tuning device is to electronically manipulate the rotation speed of the rear wheel and to communicate to the motor a speed that is always lower than 25 KmH in order to obtain a very high real speed with the motor active. The maximum speed limit will therefore be dictated by the power of the motor added to the power expressed by one’s legs When the device is active, the display will show the exact speed up to the threshold of approximately 20 KmH, beyond which a manipulated speed will always be shown below 25 KmH. SpeedFun Furious Evo can be activated and deactivated at will and maintains the setting even after the ebike is switched off. It can be installed on ebikes with any type of display or side control as well as on ebikes without a display or that mount the EW-EN100 wireless module. The new technology of this tuning module for Shimano does not require the activation of the motor light output or interventions with diagnostics or apps. It is supplied plug and go ready to use it is very simple to install thanks to the connectors with which no physical modification of the ebike is required. How does the SpeedFun work? The tuning kit manipulates the speed signal without altering the motor's power relative to pedaling speed. This guarantees a smooth motor control without speed limit interruptions. Depending on a tuning kit, some determine when assistance stops, while others remove the restriction entirely for continuous support. However, the achievable speed mostly depends on the eBike model. Achievable speed can be calculated using a simple formula: Speed = Cadence [rpm] * Wheel circumference [mm] * Front Chainring Teeth / Rear Chainring Teeth * 60 [min/h] / 1.000.000 [mm/km] After installation, your tuning kit will be activated with the activation of your eBike. This tuning kit can be activated / deactivated also, but only by your choice, you do not need to do it everytime you turn on ebike. IMPORTANT Activation and deactivation: - Turn off the ebike. - Place the chain on the longest gear (the smallest rear sprocket). - Position the left pedal at 11.00. From now on, do not turn the rear wheel. - Turn on the ebike and wait for the complete check. Don't spin the rear wheel (not yet). - Lift the rear wheel off the seat or frame. Don't spin the rear wheel (not yet). - Give a strong pedal stroke (only one). Let the wheel spin over 30 km / h for a few seconds. The system recognizes the rotation acceleration and interprets it as a command to activate or deactivate cyclically) the speed release. Upon activation, the display (if present) shows the speed that passes from real to manipulated in the manner described above. When deactivated, the speed changes from manipulated to real on the display and the bike returns to its original condition. Is this tuning kit right for my e-bike?
