The Spellbinders Tufted 3D Embossing Folder (E3D-027) is a versatile staple for any cardmaker’s library. It features a classic, high-end diamond-shaped tufted design that mimics the look of luxurious upholstered furniture or quilted leather. Because it is a 3D folder, it doesn't just indent the paper; it "sculpts" it with varying depths, creating a sophisticated, professional relief that is perfect for elegant wedding cards, masculine greetings, or chic feminine designs. Key Features: High-Definition Sculpting: Variable-depth technology creates a multi-dimensional effect that feels significant to the touch. For the most dramatic results, it is a smart tip to lightly mist your cardstock with water before embossing to help the fibres stretch without cracking. Large Slimline Format: Measuring 5.50" x 8.50", this folder is long enough to cover Slimline cards (3.5" x 8.5"), but also perfectly centres on standard and 5" x 7" card fronts, offering maximum flexibility across different project sizes. Timeless "Quilted" Look: The diamond tufted pattern is a designer favourite for "clean and simple" cards. Add a small pearl or gem at each intersection to mimic traditional upholstery buttons for a smart 3D upgrade. Mixed Media Canvas: The deep valleys and high peaks of the tufted design are ideal for "ink-swiping" with a flat ink pad or applying gilding waxes to highlight the quilted texture. Universal Sandwich Compatibility: Works with most manual die-cutting machines. Spellbinders Platinum Tip: Use the Universal Plate System (PL-127) for the best results: Platform Base (A) + Cardstock inside Folder + Adapter Plate (D).
