Spider Fighter is a fast-paced fixed shooter video game for the Atari 2600, released by Activision in 1982. The player takes on the role of an orchard defender battling waves of invading insects intent on stealing fruit from a harvest. The gameplay involves shooting down various types of bugs, including master nesters, green widows, and stingers, while protecting the bounty. With colorful graphics and smooth controls, players must continuously fire at the swarming bugs descending from the top of the screen. As waves are defeated, the game's speed and difficulty increase, providing an engaging experience for arcade-action enthusiasts.
