The total volume of the column is 1.1 ml, so a 400 μl reservoir is available for qwashing and elution steps. The column features a screw cap, is polypropylene and has a 30 μm hydrophilic polyethylene frit above a snap off end. The columns can use 1,5 and 2 ml centrifge tubes as collection tubes. Frits are supplied but not installed in the column. Simply add the affinity resin and sample to one of the spin columns, then use a microcentrifuge to efficiently wash away contaminants and elute your purified sample without losing any resin in the process.
