The Bullfrog's new treadle design has a deeper motion than any of SpinOlution's other wheels, which many spinners prefer, as it feels more familiar to other brands. Folding up in seconds, the built-in carrying handle makes it easy to bring with you to fairs & festivals. The heel pad folds up for a small footprint when not in use. Built to order at SpinOlution's California facility. Approximately 4 to 6 weeks from order to ship. One of our favorite features of the SpinOlution wheel collection is the Magnetic Hook Orifice & Bobbins. Set-up is easy & you'll be spinning in no time with your Bullfrog! Now ships with the 2026 birch-tone 3D-printed PETG whorl. Same ratios as the 2023 to 2025 black PETG whorl, with an updated finish for visual cohesion across the wheel. The open hook orifice allows you to spin bulky, ply creative, or add embellishments. A tube orifice accessory is also available to add to your 16oz flyer head if you prefer spinning with a closed orifice. The Bullfrog's flyer head is fixed at assembly: every Bullfrog ships with SpinOlution's 16oz flyer, and it is not swappable for a different size afterward. That's SpinOlution's most popular flyer size among bulky-yarn spinners. The 16oz flyer also takes 8oz bobbins, so you can spin your singles on 8oz bobbins and ply onto a 16oz bobbin with room to spare. Those are Golden Whorl generation figures (2016 to 2024), from SpinOlution's own Bullfrog ratio guide. H1 is the largest whorl and the slowest; the numbers climb as the whorls get smaller and faster. Ratios come from the flyer head and its whorl rather than from the wheel, so running smaller bobbins on the 16 oz head does not change these five. SpinOlution has not published verified ratios for the current 3D printed whorl. We will list them once they do, or once we measure one here. Spinning an older Bullfrog?
