The album is released via Rope or Guillotine on November 6th 2025.Primarily recorded and produced by Roseth herself, later mastered by Marcus Ferreira of No Master's Voice Studios, the album is comprised of music written and originally released between 2019 – 2023 as singles and EPs, all part of the same distinct period and aesthetic vision.Ossiphage intertwines heavy soundscapes and melodic fragility, accompanied by Roseth’s ethereal voice, sonically reflecting the album’s themes. The alt-pop hooks and glass-like vocals on the album’s first single Unmaking are contrasted by the drones and dissonance on Soma — featuring synths by Tobias Holmbeck, Roseth’s long-time collaborator and the artist behind Ossiphage’s cover design. The pulsing heartbeats on Lifelover, and aching vocals merged with harsh noise on Flintenweiber, lash out, while piano pieces framing each end of the album offer a brittle, melancholic respite.Performing, writing, and producing under varying monikers, collaborative constellations, and genres for well over a decade, Roseth explores the aesthetic, emotional, and sonic potential found in her preoccupation with body studies and psychoanalysis through Spiracle, named for the respiratory organs in the skin of some animals, that dissolve boundaries and, by making breath possible, make matter into life.
