Its round-edged, angled inserts ensure a clean, glass-like cut, even on highly figured or soft woods. Each insert has four cutting edges, which can be rotated up to three times to expose a fresh sharp edge. This eliminates the need for sharpening or resetting when an insert dulls or becomes damaged. Carbide inserts stay sharp 50 times longer than HSS blades, and dust extraction is more efficient due to the shorter, thinner chips produced by the Sheartak spiral cutterheads.
