Creating this ring design was very challenging and I spent several weeks sculpting my interpretation of a spiral galaxy. The subject of the design allowed me to think in the abstract and create wearable sculpture without the confines of a replicating nature. There are subtle structural elements on the underside of this substantial ring. This design was inspired by several of my mothers pen and ink drawing illustrating her epic poem Cataclysmania.
