Are you thinking about getting a custom zip line cable? You've probably noticed our cable kits and zip line kits all have one end that comes with a loop already on it. Now you can get a custom length of cable and add this item to your cart to have us mechanically swage a loop to the end. Thimble Option: A swaged loop (also known as a mechanical splice) can incorporate a thimble inside the loop to reduce abrasion between the cable and a fixed anchor point. Connections between a cable and another piece of hardware that moves with it (like a turnbuckle) generally do not require a thimble, but are sometimes added to increase the bending radius of the cable. Applications: Cable slings utilize a splice for each end without thimbles Main cables often have a splice on one end, but the second end will need to be terminated using cable clamps in order to fit it exactly to your anchors in the field. Guy wires are also swaged on one end and clamped on other, using thimbles wherever needed to prevent abrasion. To order, simply add the spool or total footage of cable to your cart, along with the total number of number of loops you need. Leave a detailed note for us in the order comments describing what you need, and we'll get it done! We do these every day, so if anything looks off we'll give you a call before making any cuts.
