Carved from a stump of Ash that suffered die-back, following the trunk profile and integrating a sizeable split ingo the form along with a ring of bark complete with worm holes. Th e surface grooves were hand sanded to produce a soft ridged texture. Then oiled and waxed. The work is inscribed with the coordinates of where the timber was discovered and its species, anchoring it to a specific location where for many decades the tree defined its urban surroundings.
