The Split Texture Jacket Knitting Kit includes the knitting pattern, Australian wool and nine handmade or shell buttons, depending upon the colour. Buttons are used on both the front and back of this design. The knitting kit includes a knitting class, the class may be purchased before the kit, allowing you to sample the stitches and techniques required to knit the Split Texture Jacket. Knitting Class: Introduces most of the stitches required for this design, plus short rows for the hemline and the knitted on button band in Corrugated Garter. The most challenging stitch pattern is the Celtic Cross, if you look closely at the images below you can see the garter stitch within the Celtic Cross pattern, with Purl on WS rows (wrong side row) of the stitch pattern reduces the challenge of this stitch pattern. Class is emailed to you so you can print the instructions. Sizes: The knitting pattern has six chest sizes from 33"to 46"/ 84cm to 118cm, with a chest ease of 3"/8cm; the finished chest to fit size 46" will measure 49". This short length is 52cm to 58cm and sits at the side seam just slightly below the hip, the short row slope to centre front/centre back adds 4.5"/ 11cm to centre length. Fun details: Button up tail has the lower back knitted in 2 sections, the cable edge with buttonholes. The twisted panels create holes, these are optional.
