Noel Daggett's depiction of a group of Apache on horseback heading through a small valley in the desert landscape of the American Southwest is a typical example of the artist's wor k featuring Native Americans. The inscription on the verso reads: Apaches returning from the border of Mexico, where forays of looting and killing were out of hand.
