This beautiful bird can be found throughout the South east coastal region. I often see a flock of them fishing for dinner together along the banks of the St. Marys River. They are animated, jumping with wings spread wide playfully at the rivers edge. I spent over a year thinking about this project, taking pictures and studying them in their natural environment. When I finally set out to design the pattern, it came together in just a few days. It’s striking with all the shades of pink, peach and white stained glass. Show more
